Lyndall Grant - Biography
In the Beginning...
Lyndall Grant was born at Carswell Air Force Base, Ft. Worth
Texas April 27, 1954 - the third of five children born to Robert
& Lavonne Grant.
As a military family, they traveled extensively, due to their father's
ever changing military assignments. His father's Air Force career
assignments included the following:
Ramey Air Force Base (AFB) at San Juan, Puerto Rico
Castle AFB, located near Merced, California
Ellsworth AFB, located near Box Elder, South Dakota
Francis E. Warren AFB, located at Cheyenne, Wyoming
Whiteman AFB, located near Knob Noster, Missouri
Lyndall's father was responsible for the maintenance and system
readiness of the US Air Force's "Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile
System." ( ICBM ). At that time, the ICBM was America's primary
stand-off defensive weapons system.
This same system is featured in all three Terminator instalments.
Lyndall graduated from high school in 1974 from Warrensburg High,
in Warrensburg, Missouri. From there, Lyndall went on to study
at Central Missouri State in Warrensburg, Missouri. During this
time, Lyndall's father was still involved with the US Air Force
defensive system projects and acted as the primary liaison between
the US Air Force revamp of the ICBM system and their contractors.
Lyndall's father encouraged him to embark on a career in Heavy Construction
with the International Association of Ironworkers. The Ironworkers
were the primary trade craft involved with the re-construction of
the ICBM launch facilities and the then up-coming "MX missile project."
Lyndall graduated as a Journeyman Ironworker, in 1980, from Kansas
City Local #10 Ironworkers apprenticeship program. A four year training
program of learning technical blue print reading and heavy lifting
techniques, involving some of the worlds largest cranes. Lyndall's
schooling also included 4 years of on the job training with the
undisputed "toughest and most dangerous trade in America."
In 1981, Lyndall decided to move from Kansas City, Missouri to San
Francisco, California. His first construction assignment was high
atop the Golden Gate Bridge on a seismic retrofit project. Over
the next 6 years, Lyndall worked on some of Northern California's
largest heavy engineering projects. While some of these projects
did have military functions, most of Lyndall's expertise was applied
as an Ironworker rigger (mostly erecting or dismantling tower cranes).
Lyndall states, "Some of our projects were under the cover of darkness,
otherwise referred to as 'black projects.' If I tell you about them,
I'll Have to Terminate You."
In 1985, Lyndall became the proud father of his baby daughter, Julia.
In 1987, Lyndall retired from heavy construction, after being severely
injured, while working at Stanford University. After healing from
multiple fractures, and surviving this near death event, he began
working as a personal assistant and body guard to the famed Werner
Erhard of "EST." Lyndall worked with Erhard as a personal assistant,
from 1988 until 1991. During these years, Werner was directly involved
with the dissolve of the former Soviet Union. In his capacity as
a trusted member of Werner's inside circle, Lyndall was involved
with arranging transportations for Soviet Officials from the San
Francisco International Airport to meet with Werner, in San Francisco.
On other occasions, Lyndall participated with arranging logistics
for Werner's trips to the Soviet Union. In the months that followed
these meetings, Soviet leader Gorbachev announced the end of the
Soviet Union (thus, the end of the Cold War and the greatly diminished
threat of Thermo Nuclear Warfare).
Werner Erhard - Recognized for Leadership
Werner Erhard has been recognized worldwide, including being
given the Mahatma Gandhi Humanitarian Award, for contributions in
a broad range of concerns. Werner Erhard continues to be engaged
by corporations, charitable organizations, and governmental agencies
around the world as a consultant in creative and strategic thinking,
corporate culture, productivity, and leadership. Erhard has lectured
for a wide variety of prestigious institutions and professional
associations around the world, including Stanford University, MIT,
the Harvard Alumni Association, the American Psychiatric Association,

Lyndall Grant Becomes Arnold Schwarzenegger Tribute
In the years from 1991 until 2003, Lyndall owned and ran Land
Sculpture, a business that primarily focused on Architectural landscape
design and construction. In 1997 while simply stopping in for lunch
at Planet Hollywood in San Francisco. The manager at Planet Hollywood
approached Lyndall and requested that he stand in for a photograph
with a group of customers that were convinced he was Arnold. A week
later Lyndall returned to Planet Hollywood at the mangers request,
clad in Terminator leathers and wrap around Rayban sunglasses. The
gig was a corporate party and launched Lyndall's new part time career
as Hollywood's counter part to Arnold Schwarzenegger. In January
of 2004, Lyndall gave up his job as an architectural designer and
now works full time as an actor, corporate speaker and professional
studio double of Arnold.
